Advanced Care. Personal Attention. A Clear Path Forward.
Dr. Harvinder (Harvey) Saggi is a foot and ankle surgeon dedicated to helping patients return to active, pain-free lives through advanced, personalized care. As the primary podiatrist and Foot & Ankle Surgeon at Milwaukee Foot & Ankle Specialists, he believes exceptional healthcare begins with listening, understanding each patient's goals, and building a genuine physician-patient relationship.
In a private-practice setting, Dr. Saggi emphasizes one-on-one attention, thoughtful appointments, clear explanations, and treatment plans tailored to the individual. Patients are encouraged to understand not only what is causing their problem, but also the full range of options available to them.
Clinical Philosophy: Evidence-Based Medicine Meets Modern Technology
Dr. Saggi's approach combines evidence-based medicine, modern diagnostic technology, advanced surgical techniques, and individualized decision-making. His goal is not to recommend the newest treatment simply because it is new, but to identify the treatment supported by current evidence that best fits the patient's condition, lifestyle, health, and goals.
Treatment may range from conservative care and rehabilitation to minimally invasive procedures and complex reconstruction. When surgery is appropriate, Dr. Saggi focuses on restoring function, correcting the underlying problem, and creating a recovery plan designed to help patients return safely to the activities that matter to them.
Education & Advanced Surgical Training
Dr. Saggi discovered his interest in podiatric medicine while shadowing a foot and ankle surgeon during college. He completed his surgical residency at Reading Hospital in Pennsylvania, where he gained extensive clinical and operative experience treating a broad spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, including complex pathology and reconstruction.
Following residency, he expanded his training through international foot and ankle fellowships in India and Spain. Working alongside surgeons from different healthcare systems exposed him to innovative approaches in reconstruction, deformity correction, minimally invasive techniques, and complex foot and ankle surgery. These experiences continue to influence his philosophy of combining proven principles with modern techniques.
Dr. Saggi remains committed to lifelong learning and continually reviews the latest medical literature to ensure his treatment recommendations reflect current evidence and evolving best practices in foot and ankle care. Throughout the year, he regularly participates in advanced surgical courses, hands-on cadaver labs, and continuing education programs to refine existing techniques and evaluate new technologies and treatment approaches.
Education is also an important part of his practice. Dr. Saggi is actively involved in teaching and mentoring residents, sharing surgical techniques and clinical decision-making with the next generation of foot and ankle surgeons. He believes that teaching not only advances the profession, but also challenges physicians to continually evaluate their own methods and maintain the highest standards of patient care.

A Comprehensive Approach to Foot & Ankle Care
Not every patient needs surgery. Dr. Saggi evaluates the complete clinical picture and discusses appropriate conservative and surgical options before developing a plan. This may include activity modification, physical therapy, bracing, orthotics, medications, injections, advanced imaging, wound care, minimally invasive procedures, or reconstructive surgery.
For patients with complicated diagnoses or prior treatment, Dr. Saggi also welcomes second-opinion consultations. He believes patients should feel confident that they understand their diagnosis, why a particular treatment is being recommended, what alternatives exist, and what recovery is likely to involve.
